A More Excellent Way: Week 2 - Love Is the Measure
One of the great strengths of a Spirit-filled church is freedom—freedom to worship, freedom to respond to the Holy Spirit, and freedom to move in the gifts God has given. But Scripture also shows us that freedom without understanding can sometimes drift into things that are unhelpful, out of order, or even distracting from God’s purpose. That’s not a modern problem—it was happening in the New Testament church as well.
In A More Excellent Way, we’ll walk through 1 Corinthians 12–14 and listen to how the Apostle Paul lovingly addressed a Spirit-filled church that was experiencing both genuine power and real confusion. Paul didn’t reject the gifts of the Spirit he affirmed them. He didn’t silence the church he shepherded it. And he didn’t throw the baby out with the bathwater he showed them how to move in the gifts with love, maturity, and order.
This four-week Wednesday night Bible teaching series is about learning how to walk in Spirit-filled freedom that builds people up, strengthens the church, and keeps our focus on discipleship, unity, and mission.
